Jill Conner
Jill Conner is the New York Editor of WM | Whitehot Magazine and the Editor of On-Verge | Alternative Art Criticism, a collaboration between the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and CUE Art Foundation. Since 1995 Jill has contributed to additional publications such as Afterimage, Art in America, Art Papers, ArtUS, Interview and Sculpture Magazine.
As an independent curator, Jill is interested in opening discourse for strong art that has been overlooked. Recent projects include the curated solo show “REVERB: New Work by Vicki DaSilva” at Able Fine Art, and an article titled “Reuben Kadish: the Anti-Hero of American Modernism,” that appeared in the December 2010/January 2011 issue of the Brooklyn Rail.
Megan M. Garwood
Megan M. Garwood is a New York City based art critic, commentator and aesthetician who contributes to art publications, such as SGU and M in the art world, as well as, to national newspapers. Most-recently, “A Prodigy, Poised to Sell,” has been published in the new Culture section of The Wall Street Journal, May 11th, 2011.
Moreover, Megan is the editor-at-large for RIPPmag Situationist Travelogue, Assistant Contributing Editor to On-Verge | Alternative Art Criticism, a collaboration between the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and CUE Art Foundation, as well as New York Assistant Editor of WM | whitehot magazine of contemporary art.
While currently a writer, Megan knows the “business of art” from her professional experience and from her pedigree. At Marlborough Chelsea, New York, (2009-10), she worked as a gallery archivist and a sales assistant. Prior to Marlborough Gallery, she apprenticed under the dealer Bjorn Ressle at his contemporary gallery Bjorn Ressle Fine Art (2008). She graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2008 concentrating on the History of French Modernism, Post-war and Contemporary Art while minoring in Ethical Analysis and the Philosophy of Morality.
